1He entered again into the synagogue, and there was a man there whose hand was withered.2They watched him, whether he would heal him on the Sabbath day, that they might accuse him.3He said to the man whose hand was withered, “Stand|strong="G1453" up|strong="G1453".”4He said to them, “Is they were silent.5When he had looked around at them with anger, being grieved at the hardening of their hearts, he said to the man, “Stretch stretched it out, and his hand was restored as healthy as the other.6The Pharisees went out, and immediately conspired with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.7Jesus withdrew to the sea with his disciples; and a great multitude followed him from Galilee, from Judea,8from Jerusalem, from Idumaea, beyond the Jordan, and those from around Tyre and Sidon. A great multitude, hearing what great things he did, came to him.9He spoke to his disciples that a little boat should stay near him because of the crowd, so that they wouldn’t press on him.10For he had healed many, so that as many as had diseases pressed on him that they might touch him.11The unclean spirits, whenever they saw him, fell down before him and cried, “You are the Son of God!”12He sternly warned them that they should not make him known.13He went up into the mountain and called to himself those whom he wanted, and they went to him.14He appointed twelve, that they might be with him, and that he might send them out to preach15and to have authority to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons:16Simon (to whom he gave the name Peter);17James the son of Zebedee; and John, the brother of James, (whom he called Boanerges, which means, Sons of Thunder);18Andrew; Philip; Bartholomew; Matthew; Thomas; James, the son of Alphaeus; Thaddaeus; Simon the Zealot;19and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him. Then he came into a house.20The multitude came together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.21When his friends heard it, they went out to seize him; for they said, “He is insane.”22The scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, “He has Beelzebul,” and, “By the prince of the demons he casts out the demons.”23He summoned them and said to them in parables, “How|strong="G4459" can|strong="G1410" Satan|strong="G4567" cast|strong="G1544" out|strong="G1544" Satan|strong="G4567"? 24If|strong="G1437" a|strong="G2532" kingdom is|strong="G3588" divided|strong="G3307" against|strong="G1909" itself|strong="G1438", that|strong="G3588" kingdom cannot|strong="G1410" stand|strong="G2476". 25If|strong="G1437" a|strong="G2532" house|strong="G3614" is|strong="G3588" divided|strong="G3307" against|strong="G1909" itself|strong="G1438", that|strong="G3588" house|strong="G3614" cannot|strong="G1410" stand|strong="G2476". 26If|strong="G1487" Satan|strong="G4567" has|strong="G2192" risen|strong="G2532" up|strong="G2476" against|strong="G1909" himself|strong="G1438", and|strong="G2532" is|strong="G3588" divided|strong="G3307", he|strong="G2532" can|strong="G1410"’t|strong="G3588" stand|strong="G2476", but|strong="G2532" has|strong="G2192" an|strong="G2192" end|strong="G5056". 27But|strong="G2532" no|strong="G3756" one|strong="G3762" can|strong="G1410" enter|strong="G1525" into|strong="G1519" the|strong="G2532" house|strong="G3614" of|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" strong|strong="G2478" man|strong="G3762" to|strong="G1519" plunder|strong="G1283" unless|strong="G1437" he|strong="G2532" first|strong="G4413" binds|strong="G1210" the|strong="G2532" strong|strong="G2478" man|strong="G3762"; then|strong="G2532" he|strong="G2532" will|strong="G2532" plunder|strong="G1283" his|strong="G1519" house|strong="G3614". 28“Most certainly|strong="G2532" I|strong="G2532" tell|strong="G3004" you|strong="G5210", all|strong="G3956" sins of|strong="G5207" the|strong="G2532" descendants|strong="G5207" of|strong="G5207" man|strong="G3956" will|strong="G2532" be|strong="G2532" forgiven, including|strong="G2532" their|strong="G2532" blasphemies with|strong="G2532" which|strong="G3588" they|strong="G2532" may|strong="G2532" blaspheme; 29but|strong="G1161" whoever|strong="G3739" may|strong="G2192" blaspheme against|strong="G1519" the|strong="G1519" Holy|strong="G4151" Spirit|strong="G4151" never|strong="G3756" has|strong="G2192" forgiveness, but|strong="G1161" is|strong="G1510" subject|strong="G1777" to|strong="G1519" eternal condemnation.”30—because they said, “He has an unclean spirit.”31His mother and his brothers came, and standing outside, they sent to him, calling him.32A multitude was sitting around him, and they told him, “Behold, your mother, your brothers, and your sisters are outside looking for you.”33He answered them, “Who|strong="G5101" are|strong="G1510" my|strong="G1473" mother|strong="G3384" and|strong="G2532" my|strong="G1473" brothers?”34Looking around at those who sat around him, he said, “Behold|strong="G2396", my|strong="G3708" mother|strong="G3384" and|strong="G2532" my|strong="G3708" brothers! 35For|strong="G1063" whoever|strong="G3739" does|strong="G4160" the|strong="G2532" will|strong="G2307" of|strong="G2316" God|strong="G2316" is|strong="G1510" my|strong="G1473" brother, my|strong="G1473" sister, and|strong="G2532" mother|strong="G3384".”
