Mark 13

1 As he went out of the temple, one of his disciples said to him, “Teacher, see what kind of stones and what kind of buildings!” 2 Jesus said to him, “Do|strong="G2532" you|strong="G3739" see these|strong="G3778" great|strong="G3173" buildings|strong="G3619"? There|strong="G2532" will|strong="G2532" not|strong="G3756" be|strong="G2532" left here|strong="G5602" one|strong="G3739" stone|strong="G3037" on|strong="G1909" another|strong="G3037", which|strong="G3739" will|strong="G2532" not|strong="G3756" be|strong="G2532" thrown down|strong="G2647".” 3 As he sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked him privately, 4 “Tell us, when will these things be? What is the sign that these things are all about to be fulfilled?” 5 Jesus, answering, began to tell them, “Be|strong="G3361" careful that|strong="G3588" no|strong="G3361" one|strong="G5100" leads|strong="G4105" you|strong="G5210" astray|strong="G4105". 6 For|strong="G3754" many|strong="G4183" will|strong="G1510" come|strong="G2064" in|strong="G1909" my|strong="G1473" name|strong="G3686", saying|strong="G3004", ‘I|strong="G1473" am|strong="G1510" he|strong="G2532"!’ and|strong="G2532" will|strong="G1510" lead|strong="G1510" many|strong="G4183" astray|strong="G4105". 7 “When|strong="G3752" you|strong="G3752" hear of|strong="G2532" wars|strong="G4171" and|strong="G2532" rumors of|strong="G2532" wars|strong="G4171", don’t|strong="G3588" be|strong="G1096" troubled|strong="G2360". For|strong="G1161" those|strong="G3588" must|strong="G1163" happen|strong="G1096", but|strong="G1161" the|strong="G2532" end|strong="G5056" is|strong="G3588" not|strong="G3361" yet|strong="G2532". 8 For|strong="G1063" nation|strong="G1484" will|strong="G1510" rise|strong="G1453" against|strong="G2596" nation|strong="G1484", and|strong="G2532" kingdom against|strong="G2596" kingdom. There|strong="G2532" will|strong="G1510" be|strong="G1510" earthquakes|strong="G4578" in|strong="G1909" various|strong="G2596" places|strong="G5117". There|strong="G2532" will|strong="G1510" be|strong="G1510" famines|strong="G3042" and|strong="G2532" troubles. These|strong="G2532" things are|strong="G1510" the|strong="G2532" beginning of|strong="G2532" birth|strong="G5604" pains|strong="G5604". 9 “But|strong="G1161" watch yourselves|strong="G1438", for|strong="G1519" they|strong="G2532" will|strong="G2532" deliver|strong="G3860" you|strong="G5210" up|strong="G3860" to|strong="G1519" councils|strong="G4892". You|strong="G5210" will|strong="G2532" be|strong="G2532" beaten|strong="G1194" in|strong="G1519" synagogues|strong="G4864". You|strong="G5210" will|strong="G2532" stand|strong="G2476" before|strong="G1909" rulers|strong="G2232" and|strong="G2532" kings for|strong="G1519" my|strong="G1473" sake|strong="G1752", for|strong="G1519" a|strong="G2532" testimony|strong="G3142" to|strong="G1519" them|strong="G1438". 10 The|strong="G2532" Good|strong="G3956" News|strong="G2098" must|strong="G1163" first|strong="G4413" be|strong="G2532" preached|strong="G2784" to|strong="G1519" all|strong="G3956" the|strong="G2532" nations|strong="G1484". 11 When|strong="G3752" they|strong="G2532" lead|strong="G1510" you|strong="G5210" away and|strong="G2532" deliver|strong="G3860" you|strong="G5210" up|strong="G3860", don’t|strong="G3588" be|strong="G1510" anxious beforehand|strong="G4305" or|strong="G2532" premeditate what|strong="G5101" you|strong="G5210" will|strong="G5101" say|strong="G2980", but|strong="G2532" say|strong="G2980" whatever|strong="G3739" will|strong="G5101" be|strong="G1510" given|strong="G1325" you|strong="G5210" in|strong="G1722" that|strong="G3739" hour|strong="G5610". For|strong="G1063" it|strong="G2532" is|strong="G1510" not|strong="G3756" you|strong="G5210" who|strong="G3739" speak|strong="G2980", but|strong="G2532" the|strong="G1722" Holy|strong="G4151" Spirit|strong="G4151". 12 “Brother will|strong="G2532" deliver|strong="G3860" up|strong="G3860" brother to|strong="G1519" death|strong="G2288", and|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" father|strong="G3962" his|strong="G1438" child|strong="G5043". 18 Pray|strong="G4336" that|strong="G2443" your|strong="G1096" flight won’t be|strong="G1096" in|strong="G1096" the|strong="G1161" winter|strong="G5494". 19 For|strong="G1063" in|strong="G2532" those|strong="G3588" days|strong="G2250" there|strong="G2532" will|strong="G2316" be|strong="G1096" oppression, such|strong="G5108" as|strong="G2532" there|strong="G2532" has|strong="G2316" not|strong="G3756" been|strong="G1510" the|strong="G2532" like|strong="G5108" from|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" beginning of|strong="G2250" the|strong="G2532" creation|strong="G2937" which|strong="G3739" God|strong="G2316" created|strong="G2936" until|strong="G2193" now|strong="G3568", and|strong="G2532" never|strong="G3756" will|strong="G2316" be|strong="G1096". 20 Unless|strong="G1487" the|strong="G2532" Lord|strong="G2962" had|strong="G2532" shortened|strong="G2856" the|strong="G2532" days|strong="G2250", no|strong="G3756" flesh|strong="G4561" would|strong="G2532" have|strong="G2532" been|strong="G2532" saved|strong="G4982"; but|strong="G2532" for|strong="G1223" the|strong="G2532" sake|strong="G1223" of|strong="G2250" the|strong="G2532" chosen|strong="G1588" ones, whom|strong="G3739" he|strong="G2532" picked out|strong="G2532", he|strong="G2532" shortened|strong="G2856" the|strong="G2532" days|strong="G2250". 21 Then|strong="G2532" if|strong="G1437" anyone|strong="G5100" tells you|strong="G5210", ‘Look|strong="G3708", here|strong="G5602" is|strong="G3588" the|strong="G2532" Christ|strong="G5547"!’ or|strong="G2532", ‘Look|strong="G3708", there|strong="G1563"!’ don’t|strong="G3588" believe|strong="G4100" it|strong="G2532". 22 For|strong="G1063" false|strong="G5578" christs|strong="G5580" and|strong="G2532" false|strong="G5578" prophets|strong="G5578" will|strong="G2532" arise|strong="G1453" and|strong="G2532" will|strong="G2532" show|strong="G4160" signs|strong="G4592" and|strong="G2532" wonders|strong="G5059", that|strong="G3588" they|strong="G2532" may|strong="G2532" lead|strong="G2532" astray, if|strong="G1487" possible|strong="G1415", even|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" chosen|strong="G1588" ones. 23 But|strong="G1161" you|strong="G5210" watch. “Behold, I|strong="G1161" have|strong="G5210" told|strong="G4302" you|strong="G5210" all|strong="G3956" things|strong="G3956" beforehand. 24 But|strong="G2532" in|strong="G1722" those|strong="G3588" days|strong="G2250", after|strong="G3326" that|strong="G3588" oppression, the|strong="G1722" sun|strong="G2246" will|strong="G2532" be|strong="G2532" darkened|strong="G4654", the|strong="G1722" moon|strong="G4582" will|strong="G2532" not|strong="G3756" give|strong="G1325" its|strong="G1325" light|strong="G5338", 25 the|strong="G1722" stars will|strong="G1510" be|strong="G1510" falling|strong="G4098" from|strong="G1537" the|strong="G1722" sky|strong="G3772", and|strong="G2532" the|strong="G1722" powers|strong="G1411" that|strong="G3588" are|strong="G1510" in|strong="G1722" the|strong="G1722" heavens|strong="G3772" will|strong="G1510" be|strong="G1510" shaken|strong="G4531". 26 Then|strong="G2532" they|strong="G2532" will|strong="G2532" see|strong="G3708" the|strong="G1722" Son|strong="G5207" of|strong="G5207" Man|strong="G5207" coming|strong="G2064" in|strong="G1722" clouds|strong="G3507" with|strong="G3326" great|strong="G4183" power|strong="G1411" and|strong="G2532" glory|strong="G1391". 27 Then|strong="G2532" he|strong="G2532" will|strong="G2532" send out|strong="G1537" his|strong="G2532" angels, and|strong="G2532" will|strong="G2532" gather|strong="G1996" together|strong="G1996" his|strong="G2532" chosen|strong="G1588" ones from|strong="G1537" the|strong="G2532" four|strong="G5064" winds, from|strong="G1537" the|strong="G2532" ends of|strong="G1537" the|strong="G2532" earth|strong="G1093" to|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" ends of|strong="G1537" the|strong="G2532" sky|strong="G3772". 28 “Now|strong="G1161" from|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" fig|strong="G4808" tree|strong="G4808", learn|strong="G3129" this|strong="G3588" parable|strong="G3850". When|strong="G3752" the|strong="G2532" branch|strong="G2798" has|strong="G1096" now|strong="G1161" become|strong="G1096" tender and|strong="G2532" produces its|strong="G1631" leaves|strong="G5444", you|strong="G3752" know|strong="G1097" that|strong="G3754" the|strong="G2532" summer|strong="G2330" is|strong="G1510" near|strong="G1451"; 29 even|strong="G2532" so|strong="G3779" you|strong="G5210" also|strong="G2532", when|strong="G3752" you|strong="G5210" see|strong="G3708" these|strong="G3778" things|strong="G3778" coming|strong="G1096" to|strong="G2532" pass|strong="G1096", know|strong="G1097" that|strong="G3754" it|strong="G2532" is|strong="G1510" near|strong="G1451", at|strong="G1909" the|strong="G2532" doors|strong="G2374". 30 Most certainly|strong="G3756" I|strong="G3739" say|strong="G3004" to|strong="G3004" you|strong="G5210", this|strong="G3778" generation|strong="G1074" will|strong="G3739" not|strong="G3756" pass|strong="G1096" away|strong="G3928" until|strong="G3360" all|strong="G3956" these|strong="G3778" things|strong="G3956" happen|strong="G1096". 31 Heaven|strong="G3772" and|strong="G2532" earth|strong="G1093" will|strong="G2532" pass|strong="G3928" away|strong="G3928", but|strong="G1161" my|strong="G1473" words|strong="G3056" will|strong="G2532" not|strong="G3756" pass|strong="G3928" away|strong="G3928". 32 “But|strong="G1161" of|strong="G5207" that|strong="G3588" day|strong="G2250" or|strong="G2228" that|strong="G3588" hour|strong="G5610" no|strong="G3762" one|strong="G3762" knows|strong="G1492"—not|strong="G3361" even|strong="G3761" the|strong="G1722" angels in|strong="G1722" heaven|strong="G3772", nor|strong="G3761" the|strong="G1722" Son|strong="G5207", but|strong="G1161" only|strong="G1487" the|strong="G1722" Father|strong="G3962". 33 Watch, keep alert, and|strong="G3588" pray; for|strong="G1063" you|strong="G1510" don’t|strong="G3588" know|strong="G1492" when|strong="G1492" the|strong="G3588" time|strong="G2540" is|strong="G1510". 34 “It|strong="G2532" is|strong="G3588" like|strong="G5613" a|strong="G5613" man|strong="G1538" traveling to|strong="G2443" another|strong="G3588" country, having|strong="G2532" left his|strong="G2532" house|strong="G3614" and|strong="G2532" given|strong="G1325" authority|strong="G1849" to|strong="G2443" his|strong="G2532" servants|strong="G1401", and|strong="G2532" to|strong="G2443" each|strong="G1538" one|strong="G1538" his|strong="G2532" work|strong="G2041", and|strong="G2532" also|strong="G2532" commanded|strong="G1781" the|strong="G2532" doorkeeper|strong="G2377" to|strong="G2443" keep|strong="G1127" watch|strong="G1127". 35 Watch|strong="G1127" therefore|strong="G3767", for|strong="G1063" you|strong="G1492" don’t|strong="G3588" know|strong="G1492" when|strong="G1492" the|strong="G3588" lord|strong="G2962" of|strong="G2962" the|strong="G3588" house|strong="G3614" is|strong="G3588" coming|strong="G2064"—whether|strong="G2228" at|strong="G3756" evening|strong="G3796", or|strong="G2228" at|strong="G3756" midnight|strong="G3317", or|strong="G2228" when|strong="G1492" the|strong="G3588" rooster crows, or|strong="G2228" in|strong="G3756" the|strong="G3588" morning|strong="G4404"; 36 lest|strong="G3361", coming|strong="G2064" suddenly|strong="G1810", he|strong="G2064" might|strong="G5210" find|strong="G2147" you|strong="G5210" sleeping|strong="G2518". 37 What|strong="G3739" I|strong="G3739" tell|strong="G3004" you|strong="G5210", I|strong="G3739" tell|strong="G3004" all|strong="G3956": Watch|strong="G1127"!”
