Luke 15

1 Now all the tax collectors and sinners were coming close to him to hear him. 2 The Pharisees and the scribes murmured, saying, “This man welcomes sinners, and eats with them.” 3 He told them this parable: 4 “Which|strong="G3588" of|strong="G1537" you|strong="G5210" men|strong="G3588", if|strong="G2532" you|strong="G5210" had|strong="G2192" one|strong="G1520" hundred|strong="G1540" sheep|strong="G4263" and|strong="G2532" lost one|strong="G1520" of|strong="G1537" them|strong="G3588", wouldn’t|strong="G3588" leave|strong="G2641" the|strong="G1722" ninety-nine|strong="G1768" in|strong="G1722" the|strong="G1722" wilderness|strong="G2048" and|strong="G2532" go|strong="G4198" after|strong="G1909" the|strong="G1722" one|strong="G1520" that|strong="G3588" was|strong="G3588" lost, until|strong="G2193" he|strong="G2532" found|strong="G2147" it|strong="G2532"? 5 When|strong="G2532" he|strong="G2532" has|strong="G2532" found|strong="G2147" it|strong="G2532", he|strong="G2532" carries it|strong="G2532" on|strong="G1909" his|strong="G2007" shoulders|strong="G5606", rejoicing|strong="G5463". 6 When|strong="G2532" he|strong="G2532" comes|strong="G2064" home|strong="G3624", he|strong="G2532" calls|strong="G3004" together|strong="G4779" his|strong="G1519" friends|strong="G5384" and|strong="G2532" his|strong="G1519" neighbors|strong="G1069", saying|strong="G3004" to|strong="G1519" them|strong="G3588", ‘Rejoice|strong="G4796" with|strong="G2532" me|strong="G1473", for|strong="G3754" I|strong="G1473" have|strong="G2532" found|strong="G2147" my|strong="G1473" sheep|strong="G4263" which|strong="G3588" was|strong="G3588" lost!’ 7 I|strong="G3754" tell|strong="G3004" you|strong="G5210" that|strong="G3754" even|strong="G2192" so|strong="G3779" there|strong="G3754" will|strong="G1510" be|strong="G1510" more|strong="G2192" joy|strong="G5479" in|strong="G1722" heaven|strong="G3772" over|strong="G1909" one|strong="G1520" sinner who|strong="G3588" repents|strong="G3340", than|strong="G2228" over|strong="G1909" ninety-nine|strong="G1768" righteous|strong="G1342" people|strong="G1510" who|strong="G3588" need|strong="G5532" no|strong="G3756" repentance|strong="G3341". 8 “Or|strong="G2228" what|strong="G5101" woman|strong="G1135", if|strong="G1437" she|strong="G2532" had|strong="G2192" ten|strong="G1176" drachma coins|strong="G1406", if|strong="G1437" she|strong="G2532" lost one|strong="G1520" drachma coin|strong="G1406", wouldn’t|strong="G3588" light|strong="G3088" a|strong="G2192" lamp|strong="G3088", sweep|strong="G4563" the|strong="G2532" house|strong="G3614", and|strong="G2532" seek|strong="G2212" diligently|strong="G1960" until|strong="G2193" she|strong="G2532" found|strong="G2147" it|strong="G2532"? 9 When|strong="G2532" she|strong="G2532" has|strong="G3739" found|strong="G2147" it|strong="G2532", she|strong="G2532" calls|strong="G3004" together|strong="G4779" her|strong="G3754" friends|strong="G5384" and|strong="G2532" neighbors|strong="G1069", saying|strong="G3004", ‘Rejoice|strong="G4796" with|strong="G2532" me|strong="G1473", for|strong="G3754" I|strong="G1473" have|strong="G2532" found|strong="G2147" the|strong="G2532" drachma which|strong="G3739" I|strong="G1473" had|strong="G2532" lost!’ 10 Even|strong="G3779" so|strong="G3779", I|strong="G3004" tell|strong="G3004" you|strong="G5210", there|strong="G1096" is|strong="G3588" joy|strong="G5479" in|strong="G1909" the|strong="G1909" presence|strong="G1799" of|strong="G2316" the|strong="G1909" angels of|strong="G2316" God|strong="G2316" over|strong="G1909" one|strong="G1520" sinner repenting.” 11 He said, “A|strong="G2192" certain|strong="G5100" man|strong="G5100" had|strong="G2192" two|strong="G1417" sons|strong="G5207". 12 The|strong="G2532" younger|strong="G3501" of|strong="G2532" them|strong="G3588" said|strong="G3004" to|strong="G2532" his|strong="G2532" father|strong="G3962", ‘Father|strong="G3962", give|strong="G1325" me|strong="G1325" my|strong="G1325" share|strong="G3313" of|strong="G2532" your|strong="G2532" property.’ So|strong="G2532" he|strong="G2532" divided|strong="G1244" his|strong="G2532" livelihood between|strong="G1244" them|strong="G3588". 13 Not|strong="G3756" many|strong="G4183" days|strong="G2250" after|strong="G3326", the|strong="G2532" younger|strong="G3501" son|strong="G5207" gathered|strong="G4863" all|strong="G3956" of|strong="G5207" this|strong="G3588" together|strong="G4863" and|strong="G2532" traveled into|strong="G1519" a|strong="G2532" far|strong="G3588" country|strong="G5561". Make|strong="G4160" me|strong="G1473" as|strong="G5613" one|strong="G1520" of|strong="G5207" your|strong="G4160" hired|strong="G3407" servants.”’ 20 “He|strong="G2532" arose and|strong="G2532" came|strong="G2064" to|strong="G4314" his|strong="G1438" father|strong="G3962".
